Multiple Forgiveness.
Multiple Forgiveness.
Then Peter came to Him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times? Jesus said to him, I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. (Matthew 18:21-22)
That's 490 times a day for the same sin.
Why should we be so liberal with other people’s sins against us?
1. We might soon need that liberality ourselves.
2. Jesus has already paid the price to forgive their sins.
You can afford to be generous when all of your sins throughout your life were forgiven before you were born.
